Two decades in renewable energy, now independent
Dr Ilkka Hannula is an independent energy and industrial decarbonisation advisor with long-standing expertise in assessing the status and deployment prospects of renewable energy technologies.
A former Senior Energy Analyst at the International Energy Agency, he led the Agency's programme of work on renewable energy technologies — advising governments and international organisations on renewable energy deployment, industrial decarbonisation, and energy transition strategies.
He is an Associate Researcher with the Energy Policy Research Group at the University of Cambridge, and an alumnus of the Energy Systems Analysis Group at Princeton University.
